The Danby Community Council takes its concert series outdoors
with a performance by Christopher Shaw in the gazebo beside the
Danby Town Hall.
Hailing from the Adirondacks, Chris is a singer and storyteller
steeped in the traditions of Northern New York State.
At the same time, Chris is full of good humor and brings a fresh
and contemporary approach to his music.
Built like a lumberjack, Chris is a masterful guitar stylist
whose fingers can work delicate magic.
His voice is a powerful baritone perfectly matched to his
material.
It has been said, "If the Adirondacks have a voice, it sounds
like Chris Shaw."
Bring a lawn chair or blanket. The whole family is invited.
In case of inclement weather, the concert will be held inside the
Danby Town Hall.
The Danby Town Hall and gazebo are located just six miles south
of Ithaca on Route 96B.
As are all the Danby Community Concerts, the concert is free and
open to all.
